Tony Connolly

Tony, who has lived in Croxton for over twenty years, has had an interest in history since childhood. After a career in construction, he decided to pursue this interest and took a mature degree in history and archaeology at the University of Nottingham. After joining the Framland Local Archaeology Group on a dig at Harston, he eventually became chairman of the group. He has recently completed a history of Croxton village and as part of his researches became fascinated by references to the medieval manor house of the village, leading to a six year excavation of the manor house site at Pinfold Field by FLAG. Alongside Jackie Johnston he was instrumental in setting up the Croxton Kerrial Heritage Trust.

Jackie Johnston
Jackie has lived in the village for five years. She was formerly the principle of a sixth form college in the South-east. Prior to this she completed a doctorate in medieval studies specialising in medieval and late Tudor drama and theatre. She continues to be interested in history, mainly from a literary and textual perspective.
